The Little Mermaid - Plot

The story of Disney’s The Little Mermaid revolves around a mermaid named Ariel. She lives in the sea with her father King Triton and dreams of leading the life of a human. On the other hand Triton’s evil sister Ursula wants to rule the sea kingdom. Ariel falls in love with Prince Eric (human) and Ursula wants to use the situation to her advantage. She casts a spell and transforms Ariel into human but if the two (Ariel and Prince Eric) do not kiss each other within three days, the sea witch would lose her powers. Each character in the play is caught in a dilemma. Ursula is desperate for the throne, Ariel wants a happy human life with her prince while her father King Triton wants to keep her away from ‘The World Above.’ As the situation takes further twists and turns, the audiences get to enjoy romance, drama and the supernatural powers of a fantasy land.
