Beginnings

Griffin's talkative nature and interest in acting resulted in her choosing the show business as a vocation. Her career as a performer incepted when she joined the improvisational comedy group The Groundings in the early 1980s. She performed in a variety of standup shows with other fellow comedians. Among these early shows, Hot Cup of Talk became popular with the audiences and boosted Griffin's image in the flourishing Alternative Comedy scene in the country. Besides such shows and live appearances, Griffin's earliest film credits include Pulp Fiction and The Unborn. Leaping forward with determination and passion, Griffin took her career to new levels of success. She rose to prominence with her role in the popular sitcom Suddenly Susan.
