Early Years and The Four Seasons

Frankie developed a passion for music at the young age of seven after he watched Frank Sinatra performing live on stage. During the 1950s, Frankie worked as a barber, while he pursued his interest in music. He joined the group, Variety Trio as a guest vocalist. The group consisted of musicians Nick Macioci, Tommy DeVito and Nickie DeVito. After the group disbanded, Frankie joined The Strand’s house band along with Tommy. 

In 1956, Frankie auditioned with a group of musicians that later evolved and became The Four Seasons. With the Four Seasons, Frankie went on to garner immense fame and popularity over the next two decades. The band released over twenty chart breaking albums and thirty Top 40 hits including ‘Rag Doll’, ‘Walk Like a Man’, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Sherry’.

Solo Career

While performing with The Four Seasons, Frankie ventured into a solo career and released hit albums like ‘The 4 Seasons Present Frankie Valli Solo’, ‘Inside You’, ‘Closeup’ and ‘Timeless’. His single, ‘Can’t Take My Eyes of You’ was his first biggest solo hit. Released in 1967, the song reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified Gold in the US.

Frankie has released ten studio albums including his most recent album, ‘Romancing in the 60s’, that came out in 2007. He has produced a variety of compilation albums featuring his fellow Four Seasons band members as well as other notable artists.
