The brainchild of Las Vegas producer extraordinaire, David Saxe, the seventy five minute show is a story of how Vegas evolved into the entertainment capital of the world. It takes the audience on a trip down memory lane and features music by artists like Elvis Presley, Cher and Frank Sinatra.
Idea behind the Show:
The show is designed to take the audience on a trip down memory lane, to the glory days of Las Vegas. It begins at the famous “Neon Graveyard” where most of the infamous Vegas lights have been “buried”, and tells the story of what Vegas used to stand for and how people from all over the world had a longing desire to experience it. Offering a unique perspective of what Vegas used to be, the show also highlights just how far it has come since those days and where it looks to be going.
About the Show:
The show features some of the most iconic stars who performed in the early days of Las Vegas. The biggest draw has to be Elvis Presley, who is brought to life on stage once again by impersonators and actors, who sing some of his most famous tunes.
Another famous act that audience members will love to see is the famous Rat Pack. Featuring music and acting legends, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin, the Rat Pack’s crooners epitomized the superstar culture associated with Las Vegas and the talented performers on the show recreate their magical chemistry on stage once again.
Since the show offers a complete overview on the history of Vegas, it explores more recent history as well. Sonny and Cher make an appearance, and the audience usually goes wild to see the quintessential pop diva of American music, belt out some of her hit numbers. Credit has to be given to actors portraying these famous icons on stage, for they do a wonderful job of selling each act.
Each musical act is backed by a live orchestra, Vegas’s famous "Santa Fe and The fat City Horns". The orchestra has been one of the crown jewels in Vegas’s entertainment history and has been performing there for more than thirty years. Featuring a fifteen member lineup, it has a brass section, a rhythms section and multiple vocalists, who recreate the magic of the legendary artists.
Along with the main artists, there are numerous other artists who take the stage along with them. Featuring some of the most beautiful showgirls in all of Vegas, they dance cabaret and give the show the extra zing it needs.
The biggest live entertainment spectacle in Las Vegas for about twenty years, this is the only show which captures the oomph, class and excitement of the old Vegas. So relive those glory days and have an absolutely entertaining time singing and dancing along with people who made Vegas the entertainment capital of the world.
