Tiësto – Dance Floor Maestro
The Dutch DJ, record producer of electronic music and musician embarked the stage two decades back. Best known for his work under the name “DJ Tiësto”, he has recently dropped the DJ in his name and is now referred to as Tiësto alone. He is the co-founder of Black Hole Recordings label with Arny Bink. After founding the label in 1997, he released the CD series “In Search of Sunrise” and “Magik” with it. A year later, he met the producer Dennis Waakop Reijers, with whom he has extensively worked with ever since. Reijers has been the composer, arranger, writer and often the producer of various Tiësto’s releases.
For two years, in 1999 and 2000, Tiësto worked with Ferry Corsten and released the trance act, “Gouryella”. The same year he released the remix of Silence, which featured Sarah McLachlan. The song brought the artist mainstream success. This was followed by his very first solo record titled “In My Memory”. This album included several of his hit songs, which for the first time brought him critical acclaim and international success, officially launching his career as an established electronic dance music artist. Following this success, he peaked at DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll at number one for three straight years. His third studio album, titled “Elements of Life” was his first album to make it to the top of the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart as well as on Dutch Album chart. His latest album, “Kiss from the Past” was released in 2011, under the alias “Allure”.
Afrojack – The Dutch DJ
Relatively new to the electronic music scene, Afrojack started off his career as a DJ and music producer in 2006. He was born and raised in Spijkenisse, Netherlands. Ever since he kick started his career, the Dutch DJ has been successful in winning several recognitions, such as a place among the top ten in the annual DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ’s of the year list. His famous song, Take over Control has charted in ten countries across the world. The best thing about Afrojack is that his fame isn’t confined within the borders; his music has been appreciated in all the continents.
Calvin Harris – The Scottish DJ
Embarking the dance music stage at Electronic Bounce House with Tiësto and Afrojack will be Calvin Harris. The accomplished singer, songwriter, DJ and record producer hails from Scotland and owns the Fly Eye Records. He earned fame after the release of his debut studio record titled “I Created Disco” in 2007. The album was certified Gold and featured hit singles like The Girls, You Used to Hold Me and Acceptable in the 80s. This was followed by the release of his remixed album titled “L.E.D. Festival”, which came out in July of 2010. Harris has released a total of three studio albums, latest one being “18 months”, which came out in 2012. Apart from his solo projects, he has written and composed for other artists as well, such as Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Dizzee Rascal.
