Announcing her appearance on the show on Twitter herself, fans will be able to catch her live on stage for two weeks only. Her involvement in the show has sent waves of excitement among fans of Kandi. NEWSical the musical, that has won the award for the ‘Best Musical’ in 2011 Off Broadway Alliance Awards is coming back to theaters around the country with a series of its ever-hilarious performances and promises to be more fun than ever before.

NEWSical’s Production
Basis of the musical were set by “What in the World: The NEWSICAL Revue” which started as “What in the World?!” in 2002 in a cabaret in New York City. The production received the “Best Musical Revue” award in 2003 at Nightlife Awards. The Off-off Broadway production started in 2004 and ran for only eight weeks. The same year, the show was taken to New York City where it ran for 215 performances before closing in 2005.
A new production came out in 2009 which had a completely different material as well as cast and director. This show was titled ‘Newsical the Musical: We Distort, You Decide’ and went on to receive two nominations in 2010 Drama Desk Awards. Another production came out in 2011 and this time it was titled “Newsical the Musical: Full Spin Ahead!”. This production also received two Drama Desk nominations but it also won the award for the “Best New Musical” in 2011 Off-Broadway Alliance Awards.
