Junkyard Dog Productions

Set in the present day New York City, First Date the musical is a spicy show which all starts with a blind date. Aaron is a wound up guy who works in Wall Street while Casey is a cool-laid back soho artist. A hilarious dinner follows a quick drink and the show is made exciting with quick background checks, fake phone calls and swarming of uptown girl and bad boy exes. But there is also a very saucy chemistry between the two which is highly infectious.

Cast, Crew and Creative Team

First Date the musical is based on the book by Austin Winsberg who has worked for television (Jake in Progress, Gossip Girl) as well as movies for Warner Bros and Dreamworks Animation. Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary have worked on the music and lyrics of the show; both are aces of their industry. Bill Berry is the director of the show who is a part of 5th Avenue Theatre for some years now and has productions like "Rent", "West Side Story", "The Music Man" and "Wonderful Wizard of Oz" to his credit. Scenic design, costumes, lighting, sound, orchestration and choreography, all has been done by a team of highly professional people. The cast and crew have given its best effort in making this musical a success. We still have to see the audience and critic response on Broadway but from the looks of it, it's going to be a smash hit.

First Date at the Longacre Theatre

Located at 220 West 48th Street, Longacre Theatre with French neo-classical architecture is all ready to show First Date the musical after having staged big hits like "La Cage aux Folles", "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", "The Young Man From Atlanta", "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "The Ritz".
