Beautiful tells the extraordinary tale of the legendary singer, Carole King. Long before, King became the superstar we know her as; she was known as Carol Klein. The musical narrates the story of her humble beginnings. King entered the music industry during her teenage and in her twenties she was able to achieve stardom beyond one’s wildest imaginations.The musical will also bring to light, the highlights of her personal life, her relationship with Gerry Goffin, her husband and the downfalls that helped the artist discover her true voice. The inspiring tale will also bring to the stage some of King’s songs that rocked the entire rock and roll generation. Become a part of the magical festivity that is all set to delight fans of the great Carole King.

Cast Members & Crew

The main role of King will be played by the Tony award nominee, Mueller. Jessie Mueller will be joined by Epstein who will be playing the role of King’s husband, Gerry Goffin; Larden and Spector playing Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, two of King’s closest friends and songwriters. A few other actors include Liz Larsen playing King’s mother, Genie Klein and Jeb Brown playing Don Kirshner, a notable producer, to name a few. The creative team that will help bring the magic to the stage includes set designer, Derek McLane; costume designer, Alejo Vietti; sound manager, Brian Ronan; and music coordinators, Steve Sidwell, John Miller and Jason Howland. Together this talented crew promises to bring a tribute musical that will truly excite all Carole King fans.

About the Singer

Born in 1942, Carol Joan Klein, more popularly known as Carole King is a popular songwriter and singer. Entering the music industry while still a teenager in 1958, King achieved her first number one hit in 1960 at the mere age of eighteen. The song “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” marked the beginning of a lifelong successful career. Her sophomore album “Tapestry” was able to maintain its place on the top of the US Albums Chart for fifteen weeks and was seen dominating charts for the next six years. Over the next four decades, Carole King co-wrote and sung over one hundred and eighteen songs that made it to the Billboard Charts. Her twenty five studio releases have garnered over six hundred thousand sales. Due to her contributions to music, King has been inducted into the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame. The upcoming tribute Beautiful show will celebrate the success of the artist.
