The Story of the Nutcracker

The classic tale of the Nutcracker presents a two act ballet. The ballet begins at the Eve of Christmas. The Stahlbaum family is celebrating the holiday season by hosting a gathering of family and friends. While the elders are eating and chatting away, the Stahlbaum children are eagerly waiting for their Christmas gifts. Their wait finally comes to an end when their godfather arrives. He gives the children namely Fritz and Clara their gifts. While Fritz gets a drum set, Clara gets a wooden nutcracker. She immediately falls in love with her present and hugs it while she goes to sleep at night.

Her dreams take her into another world where she is surrounded by magical beings. To her surprise Clara’s wooden nutcracker turns into a Prince and accompanies Clara throughout the adventure. Watch Clara as she defeats the Mouse King and makes her way into the Land of Snow and the Land of Sweets, where she meets the beautiful Sugar Plum fairy.
