The Harlem Globetrotters Tickets

The celebrated Harlem Globetrotters are all set for another string of exciting exhibition matches before they embark on their 2014 North American tour. The entertaining basketball club will be storming the newly opened Cross Insurance Center in the city of Bangor as well as the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood. The team will be presenting their latest ‘You Write The Rules' show that will involve innovative and brand new skill sets. The Globetrotters will also bring their Summer Skills Clinic program to the courts for young boys and girls this season. So make sure to bring your entire family to the friendly basketball games as the players indulge in captivating athleticism and hilarious theatrics.

Team History

Initially originating from Chicago, in 1920s, the Harlem Globetrotters were one of the most successful competitive basketball clubs in the country. They began playing as Chicago Globe Trotters and eventually became the Harlem Globetrotters in 1929. The team participated in highly competitive tournaments and won the ‘World Professional Basketball Tournament' in 1940. However, after the rise of National Basketball Association, the team started incorporating comedic routines in their game play and became known more for entertainment than sports. For the next several decades, the team continued to indulge in competitive as well as exhibition basketball. There were several official Globetrotters teams playing around the world simultaneously, in order to entertain wider fan base. In 1993, under the ownership of Mannie Jackson, the Globetrotters slowly returned to competitive basketball. In 1995, their alleged winning streak of 8829 games came to an end when the team lost to Kareem Abdul Jabbar's All Star.

Recent Years & Players

The Globetrotters are currently headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The team has played over twenty thousand exhibition games over the years in more than hundred and twenty countries. Over the years, several basketball Hall of Famers and legendary players have played for the Globetrotters such as Hubert Ausbie, Reece Tatum, Meadowlark Lemon, Nat Clifton, Connie Hawkins and Wilt Chamberlain.

The Live Experience

This season, the Globetrotters will be bringing their hilarious and exciting basketball acts to Bangor and Wildwood. These exhibition games will act as a preview for the upcoming North American tour of the team. Celebrated players like Quake Milum, Bones Millien, Stretch Middleton, Buckets Blakes, TNT Maddox and Handles Franklin are all expected to be in the lineup.

The team will also be hosting their basketball summer camp for the children known as the Skills Clinic. The two hour Skills Clinic will include a personal session with the players, who will teach and entertain the participants. The session can be attended by children of ages six to fourteen. Apart from the Skills Clinic, the audience can also get special Magic Passes along with . Lucky ones might even get a lifetime opportunity of a 30-minute session with the team just before the actual game. Families can make sure to avail this exciting opportunity for a fun filled and memorable experience.
