Event's History

Initially known as Vengeance, the Night of Champion's inaugural event was held in December 2001 at the San Diego Sports Arena. The first event featured a unification match for the ‘Undisputed Championship Title' between Steve Austin and Chris Jericho. In 2007, the first Night of Champions PPV was held with Vengeance brand in the main title. For the 2008 PPV, the Vengeance branding was completely removed and the event was titled as Night of Champions only. It featured John Cena and Triple-H in a main event match for the ‘WWE Championship' title. The most recent Night of Champions was held in September 2012 at the TD Garden in Boston Massachusetts. The main event featured John Cena and CM Punk in a highly exciting match for the ‘WWE Championship'.

Night of Champions 2013

The upcoming event will be filled with adrenaline pumping, action packed championship matches. All WWE Titles will be defended on one night including ‘Tag Team Championship', ‘Divas Championship', ‘Intercontinental Championship', ‘US Championship', ‘WWE Championship' as well as ‘World Heavy Weight Championship'. In the main event, the current ‘WWE Champion' Randy Orton will defend his title against Daniel Bryan.
