The Beginning and some Success
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim were known as Los Angeles Angels at the time of their inception in the year 1961. The team took a little while to get going however and spent around eighteen years trying to get a strong foothold in the league. They first began to make noises in the year 1979 by lifting the division title for the first time. They began and closed 1980's on the front foot as well by winning two division crowns in 1982 and 1986.

Comeback in 2000's
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim spent quite a few years post 1986 in the doldrums but all that changed big time in 2002. That year, the franchise really turned it on and won their first pennant. If that wasn't enough they rubber stamped their domination by going all the way to lifting the World Series Title as well. It was an astonishing rise.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim didn't let the momentum get away from them and won their fourth division championship in 2004. That was followed by another one next year. A two year lapse then followed before Angels went on to lift three successive division crowns in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Things haven't really been going as well as everyone associated with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim would have hoped for the last couple of seasons. In order for them to do that the likes of Mike Trout (once again), Albert Pujol, Mark Trumbo and Jered Weaver will need to step up and be counted. One thing is for sure, the next few years including the current one are going to be full of ups and downs.

Ballparks
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim began to play at the famous Wrigley Field for just their inaugural campaign. They moved to the Chavez Ravine for the next four years. They followed that up by making their way to the ballpark now known as the Angel Stadium of Anaheim and have been based there ever since then.
