Kansas State Wildcats Tickets

Kansas State Wildcats lifted conference titles in football, baseball and men’s basketball in the year 2013. That achievement put them in a selected group of athletics program to have won the BCS championships in these three sports over the course of a single season. Wildcats have been on a bit of an upward curve recently. Their performances have reached new heights and they are all set to take the latest season by storm as well. Kansas State Wildcats have been a part of the annual collegiate sporting culture for well over a century now. They have won over seventy conference championships in different sports over the course of their illustrious history to reach a special place among all athletics program. With the latest season now underway, this is their time to shine once again. They can’t do that without the support of their fans. Baseball

Baseball was the first sport that was played at the university way back in 1860’s. The sport has been relatively successful over the years as well. In baseball, the Wildcats have posted an overall record of .501. They won their first conference title in the sport way back in the year 1928 and then two more in 1930 and 1933. A prolonged drought followed but the Wildcats baseball teams have once again stepped on to the plate in recent past. Since 2009, they have made it to the NCAA tournament five times and are also the current regular season conference champions.

Basketball

The Kansas State Wildcats basketball program sent out its first ever team to the court in the year 1902. The sport has brought a lot of glory to its university over the years. K-State have been crowned regular season basketball champions on eighteen occasions. They have also gone on to lift the conference tournament title nine times. The men’s program is consistently ranked among the best in history.

Wildcats women’s basketball program doesn’t lag too far behind in terms of titles won either. They have won a total of eight regular season conference championships and have clinched the tournament title twice as well. They are ranked among the fifteen most successful women’s basketball programs in NCAA.

Football

The Kansas State Wildcats football program began proceedings for the first time in the year 1896. They have half a dozen conference titles against their name and have also made it to post-season bowl games sixteen times. In football, K-State also have the distinction of producing eleven Consensus All-Americans over the years.

Other Sports

The Kansas State Wildcats have a rich sporting history. They have won multiple conference championships in other sports as well. In cross and country, their men and women teams combined have won a total of sixteen conference titles. The indoor track and field men and women programs have landed four conference crowns. Then there is the women volleyball team with one conference crown against their name. The Kansas State Wildcats have in total gone on to get their hands on an impressive seventy one conference championships. They have always been there and thereabout when it comes to competing for conference titles and tournaments. They have made huge strides in the recent past and things are looking better than they were at any point before. By the looks of things it seems as if it won’t be too long before they reach the top.

  • The Kansas City Wildcats baseball team has made it to the NCAA tournament four times out of the last five seasons.
  • Earl Woods, father of golfer Tiger Woods used to play baseball for Kansas State.
  • Earl Woods also holds the distinction of being the first African-American baseball player to compete in the Big Seven Conference.
  • Oklahoma and Kansas Jayhawks are the only two basketball programs among all Big 12 programs against which Wildcats don’t have an overall winning record.
