The Kansas Jayhawks have been a force to contend with over a long part of their illustrious history. They know how to win and how to win in style. To achieve all that they have puts them in the company of the elite programs. Their fans have always looked forward to seeing them play and that trend is not expected to be bucked this time around as well. Basketball

The Kansas Jayhawks have absolutely dominated the sport of men’s basketball over the years. They have managed to win an astonishing fifty six conference titles since they made their debut way over a century ago. That is not all, they have also managed to get their hands on another incredible twenty six conference tournament titles. Apart from being runners up in the NCAA Tournament on half a dozen occasions, the Jayhawks have also won the prestigious crown three times to solidify their place right up there among the most iconic collegiate basketball programs in history.

Women aren’t novices when it comes to basketball either. Since the year 1979, they have won the regular season conference title four times and the Conference Tournament on six occasions. They have also made it to the NCAA/AIAW Tournament Sweet Sixteen five times.

Football

Football at the University of Kansas began in the year 1890 which makes it one of the most historic football programs in the country today. Their win percentage is pretty close to the .500 mark and with just a little bit of luck, that will certainly improve. Their football teams have produced five Consensus All-Americans and have lifted eight conference championships. The Jayhawks have also qualified for a dozen bowl games, winning six and losing six out of those.

Baseball

The Kansas Jayhawks has had a baseball team since 1880. Their record for the most part has stayed above .500 and to achieve that over such a long period of time is a testament to the level of excellence they have achieved. As far as championships go, the Jayhawks have won three conference titles and one Conference Tournament. They have four NCAA Tournament and one College World Series appearance to show for their efforts as well.

Other Sports

Jayhawks have won numerous other titles in various other sports as well. Their soccer team has won the Big 12 regular season title in the year 2004. Their men’s indoor and outdoor Track and Field teams have managed to accumulate a total of sixty conference crowns and six national championships. Tennis has seen them lift six conference titles whereas golf and softball programs have brought home one conference crown each.

The Kansas Jayhawks have won more than one hundred and sixty eight conference titles in various sports. They have also amassed close to two dozen national championships to justify their spot at the pinnacle.
