Atlanta Dream Tickets

 

A woman basketball team playing in WNBA, Atlanta Dream has solidified its status as one of the top women basketball teams in less than five years after its formation. Currently managed and coached by Fred Williams, the team has won two Conference Titles. It has been qualified for playoffs in three of its four years in Atlanta and has managed to reach WNBA Finals two times. Determined to show their best and mark their glory, the team is all set to start the new season and Atlanta Dream tickets have already started to fly off the shelves.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Atlanta Dream is the professional women basketball team playing in Eastern Conference in WNBA. Owned by Dream Too LLC, the team was founded in 2008. Dream Too LLC composed of two Atlanta businesswomen Kelly Loeffler and Mary Brock.
 

Game History:
The team played its first game against Connecticut Sun and it had its first win against Chicago Sky. In 2009, they reached playoffs. The team's coach Marynell Meadors was awarded the Coach of the Year Award at the end of the season. 2010 was even better for the team. They finished in fourth place in Eastern Conference and reached the WNBA Finals. The team again made its way to the finals next year in 2011 but lost to Minnesota Lynx.
After Marynell Meadors left the team in August 2012, Fred Williams took over as the head coach. She coached San Diego Siege of the NWBL before getting associated with Atlanta Dream as assistant coach in 2009.The team qualified for the playoffs under Williams in 2012. For 2013 season, Julie Plank joined the team as an assistant coach.
 
Home ground:
The team plays in the Philip Arena in downtown Atlanta. The arena was opened in 2009 and is also home to Atlanta Hawks of NBA. It is owned by Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority and operated by Atlanta Spirit, LLC.
The arena can seat up to 21,000 spectators. Laid out in a rather unusual manner with club seats and luxury boxes on one side and general seating along the other three, the arena was ranked as third-busiest arenas in US in 2011.
 
 
Famous Players:
The franchise has been home to several high-quality players. Some of them include University of Louisville standout Angel McCoughtry, Brazilian sharpshooter Izi Castro Marques and former Finals MVP Betty Lennox.
Angel McCoughtry has been awarded with several honors including Rookie of the Year award in 2009, All-WNBA first team in 2010 and Peak Performer in 2012. Shalee Lehnning who joined the team in 2009 and left in 2011, now serves as an assistant coach at Kansas State. Sancho Lyttle of the team is another star recognized with many honors.
