Basis
Trailer Park Boys Live series began touring the country after the popularity of the television show of the same name. Based on the 1999 film, the show premiered at Showcase in 2001. With an overwhelming response from the critics and viewers, all the episodes gained high ratings on the channel. So far, seven complete seasons have been telecasted and the show is currently running its eighth season. The live touring features the same funny characters as the television series with little modifications in the plot to suit the stage requirements.
Besides the successful seasons of the television, two hit movies have also been made on the show. Both the movies, Trailer Park Boys: The Movie (2006) and Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day (2009) featured the same cast members in the lead roles and earned widespread commercial and critical acclaim. The latest addition to the movie series, Trailer Park Boys 3: Don’t Legalize It is set to release in April 2014.
