The Killers Tickets

The Lollapalooza festival kicked off Friday, August 02, 2013 at the Grant Park in Chicago. The festival's line-up included The Killers, Lana Del Ray, Nine Inch Nails, Father John Misty, Jessie Ware Brave and New Order among other bands and artists. The crowd went crazy for the Killers as they opened with no other song but Mr. Brightside. Brandon also mesmerized the crowd with the band's smash hit single, Somebody Told Me.

Formed in 2001, The Killers is a brilliant rock band comprising of Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer, Ronnie Vannucci Jr and the very famous Brandon Flowers. Till date, the band has released four studio albums and performed in some of the biggest rock concerts.

Studio Albums

Released in June 2004, Hot Fuss is the band's debut studio album that was released through the Island Records in the US and Lizard King Records in the UK. In January 2005, the album topped the UK charts and was certified multi-platinum by the BPI. Some of the successful singles of the album include Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me and Smile Like You Mean It. In October 2006, the band released its second studio album, Sam's Town that opened at the second spot on the Billboard 200 chart. More than seven hundred thousand units of the album were sold around the globe in the first week alone. Later, the album was certified platinum in the US, double platinum in Australia and four times platinum in the UK. Released in November 2008, Day & Age is their third studio album that opened at number one on the UK Albums chart and number six on the US Billboard 200 chart. Battle Born is the band's fourth and most recent studio album that debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart as well as on the Canadian Albums chart. As of 2012, over one million copies of the album have been sold around the world.

Awards and Nominations

The Killers have received four NME Awards for Best International Band in the UK and another NME Award for Best Video of Bones in 2006. The band also won the BRIT Award for Best International Band and Best International Album - Sam's Town the same year. In 2009, the Day & Age album received a BRIT Award nomination for Best International Album. In the same year, it also received two Shockwaves NME Award nominations in the category of Best Album and Best Album Artwork. In 2013, the band has won an MVPA Award for Best Animated Video - Miss Atomic Bomb.  Since their inception, The Killers have received seven Grammy nominations. The band's debut album, Hot Fuss was nominated for the Best Rock Album and the single, Somebody Told Me was nominated for the Best Rock Song.

The Killers set the stage on fire with their killer performances. The performers keep smiling the whole time and it seems as if they enjoy playing for their fans. The band performs to the crowd at the sold out venues where people never sit down the whole time once the event has started. The Killers perform with an incredible amount of energy.
