The Cult Tickets

Formed in 1983, The Cult is a British hard rock band that currently comprises of four members including Ian Astbury, Billy Duffy, Chris Wyse and John Tempesta. During the mid eighties, the punk band earned a cult fan following in Britain before appearing on the US music scene in the late eighties.

Studio Albums

Since its inception, the band has released nine studio albums including Dreamtime, Born into This, Love, Electric, Sonic Temple and the Choice of Weapon among others. In September 1984, the band released its debut studio album, Dreamtime that peaked at number twenty one on the UK charts.  The album's famous singles include Spiritwalker, Horse Nation and Butterflies where Spiritwalker topped the UK Indie Chart.

Released through the Beggars Banquet Records in October 1985, the second album, Love debuted at number four on the UK charts. She Sells Sanctuary is the album's successful single that peaked at number fifteen on the UK Singles Chart. The band's third album, Electric opened to great acclaim and was also featured in the book titled 1001 Albums You Must Hear before You Die. In 1989, the Sonic Temple album opened at number three on the BPI UK Album Chart and number ten on Billboard 200 chart. Some of the chartbusting singles of the album include Fire Woman, Sun King, Edie (Ciao Baby) and Sweet Soul Sister. Released in May 2012, Choice of Weapon is the band's ninth studio album that was released through Cooking Vinyl Records. The album opened at number fifteen on the Canadian charts and number thirty six on the US charts.

Commercial Success

With sales of over sixty thousand copies, the band's debut album was certified silver by the BPI. Since the release of the album Love, the band has sold over two and a half million records around the world. Similarly, the Electric album sold nearly three million copies worldwide and also received a gold certification in the UK.

Especially, after their live performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco, people have come to believe that the band provides value for money spent on The Cult tickets.
