They have been friends for a long time and it was high time the two started performing together. They got the idea of a collaboration tour after their joint performance at the benefit event for the Robin Hood Foundation in May 2013. They performed “Fields of Gold” and “The Boxer” on the event.

The Sting & Paul Simon: On Tour Together will kick off from Houston where the duo will perform at Toyota Center. Moving through their schedule, Sting and Paul Simon will also stop to perform at New York’s Madison Square Garden before concluding the tour in Orlando, Florida at Amway Center. The Musical Great – Sting

Apart from being an amazing singer, Sting is also a musician, song-writer and multi-instrumentalist. He is also an actor, an activist and a philanthropist. Sting was not always a solo musician; he rose to fame by being a part of the band The Police. He was the lead singer, songwriter and bassist for the band.

Sting is the proud possessor of 17 Grammy Awards, 3 Brit Awards, an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. He has also received numerous Oscar nominations and is inducted into both Songwriters Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Legendary Paul Simon

The world of music knows Paul Simon as the other half of the world renowned duo Simon and Garfunkel. Partnering up with Art Garfunkel in 1964 led Simon on a journey from where most of his fame and influence came from. After splitting up in 1970, Simon embarked on a solo career and was successful there too.

Simon has received 12 Grammys and is also a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Experience

Talking to the Times Sting said, “We don’t really know where this is going. We don’t really have a clue how this is going to pan out”.
