Marshall Tucker Band has been around for some time now and it has never lost its appeal and charm. Already enjoying a huge base, the band is ready to expand its further with its new concert tour.

Formation and Early Years:

The band was formed in early sixties in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Performing under different names with a varying lineup the act got its present name in 1972. A year later the band released it's self titled album. The album proved to be a major success and went on to sell gold. Marshall Tucker Band followed it with more back to back gold certified albums. Other than commercial success the band also won critical acclaim for their music. In 1977 the band earned a Grammy Award nomination in the ‘Best Country Instrumental Performance' category for the instrumental title track of their album Long Hard Ride. Surpassing their previous achievements the band's next album, Carolina Dreams went on to sell platinum.

Later Years:

Gaining in popularity the band went on to release more albums through the coming years. Tragedy hit in the eighties when the founding member Tommy Caldwell died from injuries he sustained in a car accident. Following his death the band has carried on releasing music. With time the band has modified their music to tilt more towards country music. The variation in the music has only gone on to increase the demand for Marshall Tucker Band tickets.

The band's music has stood the test of time and has also proved to be a hit with the new generation. One of their hits from the seventies Can't You See was recently used in a commercial for Busch Beer. The all time favorite has also been used in a 2012 ad to promote tourism in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The band has released nine albums since the turn of the century. Still recording music they released an album Live! From Spartanburg, South Carolina recently in 2013. Equally active in giving live performances, Marshall Tucker Band returned to the Grand Ole Opry earlier this year. They have also recently performed at the Highway to the Jupiter Seafood Festival. Worth mentioning is their performance at the historic rock club, Stone Pony that proved to be a major crowd pleaser.

The band has won over the audiences with their music at the celebrated Grand Ole Opry numerous times. They have also taken to stage to perform for the 2012 Vice Presidential Debate at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. Other than land Marshall Tucker Band has also entertained at sea on board the Rock Legends Cruise lineup. Seeing the mega response that the band got they were included in the cruise two years in a row. Popularity of the band has also led to them performing at the NASCAR racing event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
