Jake Miller self-learned drums and guitar and began writing songs at a young age. Fascinated by hip hop and rap, he developed his personal take on the genre and put his different videos on the YouTube. His videos went viral on the web and gained millions of views. The buzz on the web got the attention of many music veterans who approached Miller and guided him for his future music ventures.

Success on the Road

With some of his early original songs, Jake Miller hit the road and became an opening act for many famous musicians. In March 2011, he gave his first major live performance in Florida and opened for the iconic rapper, Snoop Dogg. A number of concerts followed and Miller received an overwhelming response from the audiences. In May 2011, he won nationally recognized Samsung & T-Mobile Kick it with the Band competition. Miller was hailed for his fresh talent which opened new ways of success for him.

Throughout the year, Miller performed at some of the key venues and concerts along with the artists like Flo Rida, Asher Roth, We the Kings and Cody Simpson. In December 2011, he performed at the Orange Drive Miami Beach Music Festival. Sharing stage with the renowned musicians like Cee Lo Green, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship and Ne-Yo, he gained a strong fan following.

Official Debut

With the start of 2012, Jake Miller began recording and releasing his own songs. In June 2012, two of his singles, What I Wouldn’t Give and I’m Alright came out and became instant hits. His first organized music effort was the EP, Spotlight that was released in July 2012. It included seven of his new songs and became popular with the fans besides getting critical praise.

In January 2013, Miller was signed to the E1 Music and released his new single, A Million Ways. Soon after the success of the single, his second EP, The Road Less Traveled was released in April 2013. The EP included hits such as Steven and Glow and turned out to be a successful record. Besides getting positive reviews from the critics, several of the EP’s songs received heavy airplay. Jake Miller recently released the latest single, Collide from his upcoming debut studio record that is set to release by the end of October 2013.

Jake Miller will embark on his US Against Them Tour in support of his upcoming debut studio record. Featuring special performances by the bands Action Item and Air Dubai, the tour will be visiting a number of cities throughout the US.
