Attached to this arena is a conference center which is used to several of the community meetings. For the indoor football arena, the venue has an additional five thousand plus seats. At first it was called the Huntington Civic Center, then it was renamed to Huntington Civic Arena and in year 2000 it was finally renamed to The Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
