Missouri Tigers have always been a formidable intramural and extramural program that has a rich tradition of winning major titles. They have been a part of the sports landscape for well over a century and during that time, the Tigers have done enough to put themselves forward as a strong athletics program. Football

Missouri Tigers have always had a pretty strong football program. Football at the university began way back in the year 1890 and since then their teams have gone on to notch up a record that is quite impressive. Tigers have gone on to clinch three division championships and another fifteen conference titles. They have also produced a dozen Consensus All-Americans and have twice been crowned national champions, although those two triumphs are unclaimed ones. Their postseason bowl appearances count is twenty nine with thirteen wins.

Their current coach Gary Pinkel took over right after the 2000 campaign drew to a close. Under his tutelage, Tigers have been very consistent in terms of performances. They have established a record that is above .600 in terms of win percentage. Not only that, but they have also made it to bowl games nine times while coming out on top on five occasions to become one of the strongest teams around.

Baseball

Missouri Tigers have been very strong when it comes to baseball over the course of their illustrious history. Since their first baseball side hit the field in the year 1891, they have gone on to lift the conference title twenty times. They have also got their hands on the conference tournament title as well as the national championship once each. Their most recent triumph came in 2012 when Tigers went on to win both the conference title and the conference tournament.

Basketball

Tigers’ basketball history is littered with numerous high points and titles as well. They have won well over fifteen hundred games over the year on their way to being crowned conference winners on fifteen occasions. Other Sports

Missouri Tigers have won fifteen track and field conference titles and one indoor national championship in the sport.
