The Original Rat Pack Show
Originally the Rat Pack Show centered on the legendary American star Humphrey Bogart and featured a group of different actors. After Bogarts death, the general public as well as media started calling another group of artists by the same name, who were previously known as The Summit. It consisted of well-known musicians like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis. The group appeared in several films and live shows during the early 60s. The movies they performed in together include Robin and the 7 Hoods, Oceans Eleven and Sergeants 3. During what is called the golden age of Las Vegas, the Rat Pack group performed on the Sands Hotel stage during the filming of Oceans Eleven. That unforgettable time filled with music and fun can never be replaced, but with Sandy Hacketts show, it can be relived.
Several revivals of Rat Pack Show were staged in the later years, which included the original members on and off. However, with the group members facing their own troubles, it was closed down altogether. One of their last shows included a performance at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena in March 1988. The three artists, Sinatra, Martin and Davis performed in front of 14,500 people. All five of the original members are no longer alive. Their legacy continues to live through the continuous revivals of the Rat Pack Show, which influenced people unlike any other such show.
