Luke Bryan A Crossover Country Success
The journey from an artist to watch to the top country artist was a relatively short one for Luke Bryan. Hailing from a small town in Leesburg, Bryan was destined to be a star. He grew up on a farm and spent most of his time listening to country music. His parents music collection included works of the superstars like Alan Jackson, George Strait, Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty, and these musicians served as his early inspiration. Impersonating their style and arrangements, Luke Bryan learned guitar and was soon ready to entertain local crowd and gatherings. For better opportunities, in 2001 he moved to the country music capital, Nashville and started a formal career.
Initially Luke Bryan collaborated with other artists as a songwriter but soon landed a deal with the Capital Records. In 2007, he announced his entry into the industry with the Gold certified debut album, Ill Stay Me. Bryans unique brand of traditional country earned him legions of fans and when he came out with his sophomore record, Doin` My Thing, he found even broader listeners. Luke Bryan managed to cement his place in the genre, earning accolades like Best Solo Act, Artist of the Year and Favorite Male Country Artist. His 2011 release Tailgates & Tanlines added another hit into his repertoire and with 2013s Crash My Party, Bryan has established himself among the most successful country artists.
