The gifted musician, Chris Young was inclined towards music since a very young age. He took part in church choirs during his teenage years. However, he had never thought about taking up music as a full time career. Over a period of time he realized that he really enjoyed performing on stage before an audience. He discovered that he was actually quite good at it and hence began thinking of making a living out of it. He played at many local clubs while simultaneously studying at high school and university.
The big break for Chris Young came when he was selected to participate as a contestant on the fourth season of the popular singing show, Nashville Star. After he won the contest, recording offers began pouring in. Chris eventually signed a contract with RCA Records under which his debut self-titled album was released. Four tracks from this record were penned by the musician himself. The songs charted high on the music countdowns and the then 21 year old crooner became an international star.
With just his second studio album The Man I Want to Be, Chris Young was able to score the number one hit song, Getting You Home. The records title track also topped the music charts. The rest of the songs in the collection reflected the singers strong affection for traditional country music. The album featured cover songs of Waylon Jenningss Rose in Paradise and Tony Joe Whites Rainy Night in Georgia. Apart from number one singles, The Man I Want to be is also Youngs first album to be certified Gold.
The year 2011 saw the release of Chriss third studio album Neon. The lead track of the record Tomorrow went on to become the biggest hit of the country musicians career. The song ranked fourth on the list of the Most Popular Country Singles of 2011.
Chris Youngs latest album 3 AM released in 2013. The record has a rich mix of upbeat songs and powerful ballads. The title track is a perfect example of how the musician is able to belt out an upbeat number without having to sing in a high pitch. On the other hand, the collection also has a strong ballad like Goodbye. The single Text me Texas showcases the singers fondness for traditional country and his ability to blend it with the modern music trends. The result is a classic patriotic song like Text me Texas.
With a series of live concerts lined up for 2014, Chris is all set to treat his fans with his country hits. The excitement for the upcoming concerts is on a high and sold out shows are expected.
