Inspirations and Interests
Amos Lee developed interest in music while attending high school. One of John Prine’s album, Great Days left a deep impression on his heart and mind and he began to play guitar and bass. With the help of this exposure, he became an opening act for the musicians such as B.B. King and Mose Allison. Impressing one of the representatives of Blue Note Records, Lee earned a recording deal with the label and formed an association with the famous singer, Norah Jones.
